2. Scope
This Policy applies to visitors of our website, registered users, and anyone who uses the Service to create, manage, or publish content.
If you connect third-party social accounts, those platforms also process your data under their own policies. We describe our role below; we do not control how Meta, Google, TikTok, or other networks handle your data on their side.
3. Data we collect
We collect the following categories of information, depending on how you use the Service:
- Account data: name, email address, profile picture, and authentication identifiers when you sign in (for example, via Google).
- Project and content data: project names, prompts, scripts, generated videos and carousels, thumbnails, captions, content plans, scheduling preferences, and files you upload (such as images for avatars or carousel slides).
- Connected account data: OAuth tokens and metadata needed to publish to social networks you connect, plus platform-specific settings you configure (channels, post types, visibility, and similar options).
- Usage and technical data: IP address, browser type, device information, pages viewed, actions in the app, error logs, and timestamps. We use this to operate, secure, and improve the Service.
- Billing data: subscription plan, token balance, payment status, wallet addresses used for USDT (TRC20) payments, transaction amounts, and invoice identifiers. We do not store your private cryptocurrency keys.
- Support communications: messages you send us and related metadata.
4. How we use your data
We do not sell your personal data. We do not use your private project content to train public AI models unless we explicitly ask for your consent for a specific program.
- Provide and maintain the Service, including content generation, editing, versioning, and posting workflows.
- Authenticate you and manage your account.
- Process payments and token balances.
- Send content and publishing instructions to connected social platforms at your request.
- Monitor usage, prevent abuse, enforce our Terms of Use, and protect the security of the Service.
- Improve features, fix bugs, and analyze aggregated or pseudonymized usage patterns.
- Comply with legal obligations and respond to lawful requests.
5. AI processing and third-party providers
To generate scripts, images, video, voice, music, captions, and related assets, we send necessary inputs (such as your prompts, scripts, slide text, and reference images) to third-party AI and infrastructure providers. Depending on your settings and the feature used, these may include providers for language models, image generation, video generation, text-to-speech, speech recognition, media assembly, and hosting.
Each provider processes data according to its own terms and privacy policy. We select providers to perform the task you request and share only what is reasonably required for that purpose.
AI outputs may be stored in your account and our infrastructure so you can review, edit, regenerate, or publish them.
6. Legal bases for processing (EEA/UK users)
If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, we rely on the following legal bases where applicable:
- Contract: to provide the Service you signed up for.
- Legitimate interests: to secure the Service, prevent fraud, and improve functionality, balanced against your rights.
- Consent: where required for optional features or marketing communications.
- Legal obligation: where we must retain or disclose data under applicable law.
7. Sharing and disclosure
We may share personal data with:
- Infrastructure and hosting providers that run our application and store media.
- AI and media processing providers, as described above.
- Payment and blockchain monitoring services used to confirm USDT (TRC20) payments.
- Social platforms you connect, when you ask us to publish content on your behalf.
- Professional advisers, auditors, or authorities when required by law or to protect our rights.
- A successor entity if we undergo a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, subject to this Policy.
We may also disclose aggregated or de-identified information that cannot reasonably identify you.
8. International transfers
We and our subprocessors may process data in countries other than your own, including countries that may not provide the same level of data protection. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses or equivalent mechanisms.
9. Retention
We retain personal data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. Project content and generated media are kept until you delete them or your account, unless we must retain copies for legal, security, or backup purposes.
Billing records may be kept longer to comply with tax, accounting, and anti-fraud requirements. Logs and security records are retained for a limited period appropriate to their purpose.
10. Security
We implement technical and organizational measures designed to protect personal data, including encryption in transit, access controls, and separation of production credentials. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security.
You are responsible for keeping your account credentials confidential and for the security of devices you use to access the Service.
11. Your rights
Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to certain processing of your personal data, and to receive a portable copy. You may also withdraw consent where processing is consent-based, and lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.
To exercise your rights, contact us at legal@clipboss.app. We may need to verify your identity before responding.
12. Cookies and similar technologies
We use cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember language preferences, and understand how the Service is used. You can control cookies through your browser settings; disabling essential cookies may affect sign-in and core functionality.
13. Children
The Service is not directed to children under 16 (or the minimum age required in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will delete it where appropriate.
14. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the revised version on this page and update the "Last updated" date. Material changes may also be communicated through the Service or by email where appropriate. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Policy.
